We had a great time Saturday morning at Pleasant Valley Nature Park in Cedarburg. It was a little windy, especially early in the morning, but as the day went on the wind died down a bit…and for a few seconds we may have even seen the sun. However, the weather was perfect for riding in the woods! the kids loop and the Green beginner loop saw a lot of action.
We had a nice mix of families that were new to the trails and those that had ridden them many times before. We were able to put together a few group rides to help familiarize everyone with the loops, but once the kids figured out where they were going, many of them took off in small groups to do the green loop over and over. It’s great to see the the next generation of riders coming up and enjoying the sport with each other!
Despite the cooler temps that morning we ended up with a great turnout for event! Throughout the morning we had over twenty five kids show up to participate in this years event (sorry we couldn’t get everyone in a group picture)- thanks to all the parents that took time out of their mornings to join us….we’ll try an pick a warmer date next year.
Thanks to Hayes, Rays Bike Park, Collectivo, IMBA and the Town of Cedarburg for sponsoring this event and thanks to all of our volunteers that help organize and put on the event.
